GAYONG 2

GAYONG 2 tells about Meor returning to Singapore with his family in 1950, after Japan officially surrendered in World War II. Working as a CID officer with the Singapore Police Force, Meor soon discovered serious irregularities within the highest levels of his department and vowed to eradicate crime and uphold justice. As a nationalist who understood that corruption would ultimately destroy the nation and its people, Meor took a tremendous risk by launching an investigation into a British police chief named Malcom. Malcom had allegedly accepted large sums of money from a feared Chinese secret society known as the Tiger Group. In carrying out his mission to dismantle the criminal organization, Meor faced a painful dilemma between duty and family when his wife and child were kidnapped and threatened with death unless he stopped interfering with the secret society’s operations.
